The Humane Society of the Upper Valley is proud to be part of a community that shares the same commitment to the care and love of animals as we do. We are honored to put on events that connect us even closer to the public and businesses that are willing to help us serve the needs of the animals in our community.

HSUV is a local, private, non-profit organization that serves
the cities of Shelley, Idaho Falls, Butte, Rigby, Rexburg, Saint Anthony, and Ashton.
All funds you contribute to HSUV stay locally.
Celebrate a special friend or pet, fundraise with your colleagues, at your kids school, a local college, and so much more!

Set a Fundraising Goal
Don’t forget to share your goal with friends, family and co-workers!

Offer incentives for people in your network to join your event such as a photograph you took, a bottle of wine or an experience you set up such as a kick-off party.

Don’t Be Afraid to Ask
Remember that you can’t raise money to help the animals if you don’t ask for help. Be proud of what you’re doing and your supporters will be proud to help you.

Start Fundraising Early
The earlier you start fundraising, the more likely you are to reach your goal. It’s never too early to start your team and begin reaching out for support.

Utilize Social Media
There are so many ways to harness the power of social media to help you reach your goal.

Personal Donation
Inspire others to give by making a gift yourself to show your commitment and then ask others to join you.

Face to Face

Ask potential donors in your network for a few minutes of their time so that you can talk without interruptions. Consider taking them out for coffee or inviting them over for lunch. Let them know why you are participating and remember, you are not asking for the contribution for yourself, but for the thousands of animals HSUV gives a second chance to each year.

Matching Gifts

Check with your human resources office to see if your company offers matching gifts. This is a great way to double the money you raise and increase your impact for the animals.

Businesses You Patronize
Ask the places you frequent for a donation – such as your hair stylist, dry cleaner, doctor, dentist, gym, coffee shop, favorite restaurant, etc.

Please Note:
We currently do not recommend holding large gatherings due to the COVID-19 crisis. There are tons of ways to make your fundraiser virtual! Hold a virtual game night, invite friends to a Zoom Happy Hour, create a birthday fundraiser on Facebook, and so much more!
